Toy Fair Take-Over

Toys are a $27 billion industry in the U.S. This past week, New York City hosted the 2019 American International Toy Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. This year’s Fair hosted over 30,000 global play professionals from 100 countries—all determined to connect with the show’s 1,000+ exhibitors. With 447,000 net square feet of exhibit space, the Center held the equivalent of more than seven football fields filled with toys.

Once again, our Hinda Merchandising Team was on the scene to scope out the hottest trends and newest releases. Senior Buyer, Wendy Reed noted animals were a strong presence at this year’s fair. Interactive pets and nurturing plush toys, including llamas, narwhals and even unicorns, could be seen leading the ever-present animal-care trend.

Hinda is always on the prowl to find our participants the very best. And what better way than to engage people than at play?

Definitely the most fun trade show I’ve ever attended.”
- Wendy Reed.
