Sustainability

It isn’t just a buzzword; it’s become a lifestyle. In 2024 we’ve seen a strong push towards eco-friendly and sustainable product design. It’s becoming even more critical in cookware as people are concerned about toxic materials that release harmful chemicals into their food. Our catalog features dedicated sustainable brands like GreenPan®, Caraway and Our Place®, but big brands such as Cuisinart®, Zwilling and Le Creuset® have even jumped on the trend.

Space Saving Items

Tighter living spaces, such as renting or having roommates, bring a higher demand for compact solutions. And brands are more than happy to provide options. Joseph Joseph has debuted their first cookware collection. The 13-piece cookware set features SwingLock technology that lets the pan’s stainless steel handles fold in. Gourmia® has a new appliance that combines a grill, griddle, steamer and air fryer to reduce the need for multiple machines. Cuisinart®’s SoHo collection of compact appliances features a slender footprint for a modern appeal.

Pizza Ovens

Last year brands like Ooni and Gozney had such success they have become household names. Ooni will release the Koda Max 2, an even larger version of the Koda for more pizza making space and power. Gozney has added pizza dough to their line up – making the cooking process even easier. They offer three options, New York, Neapolitan and Detroit. Solo Stove® has entered the pizza oven ranks with their pizza oven Pi. They have several options including models that run on wood, gas or a combination of the two.

Electronics Trends

Transparent TVs

Gone are the days when exciting TV trends were larger, thinner screens. Now you don’t even have to see the screen! Both LG and Samsung® showcased their transparent TVs at this year’s CES show. LG’s Transparent OLED TV is practically invisible when turned off. This TV can be used to display statement art or blend seamlessly with your décor.

Artificial Intelligence

AI was the hottest topic at this year’s trade shows. It’s being integrated into the latest television models to enhance both visual and audio experiences. For example, the Samsung® Neo QLED 4K TV features AI-powered picture enhancements. Headphones with AI can adapt to the user's preferences, optimize sound settings and provide a more immersive listening experience. And it’s no surprise that Apple® has integrated AI chatbots, digital assistants, workflow and project management solutions into their 2024 releases.

Biomonitoring & Wearables

While wearable devices have been popular for years, new technology has ushered in a new era for biomonitoring. The Withings BeamO - 4-in-1 health checkup combines a thermometer, stethoscope, pulse oximeter and EKG into a single at-home device. The Garmin® Lily 2 has the basics of other fitness trackers but also detects high stress levels and tracks menstrual cycles and pregnancy.
