Friday Feature: Camera Sales on the Rise in 2017, Data Shows
After years of declining numbers, camera sales are on the rise in 2017, according to Digital Trends. Earlier this summer, the website reported on market research that shows sales increasing for the first time in five years.
Data collected from January through April 2017 shows a range of 1.7 percent decline to 7.1 percent growth in camera sales — that same period in 2016 showed numbers ranging from 31.7 percent decline to 14 percent decline.
This is indeed an inventive time for cameras in the marketplace. Fighting competition from smartphones and other devices now loaded with high-quality cameras, top companies like Nikon® and Polaroid have been releasing innovative models ranging from retro-inspired to technology-loaded. Mirrorless cameras are trending in the marketplace right now, as are instant cameras and 360 action cams.
A recent feature in Incentive magazine showcased trending cameras in the marketplace, calling out to this diverse array of options now available in the marketplace. Two of the cameras mentioned in the Incentive article, the Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera and the Fujifilm FinePix XP120 Camera, are recent additions to the Hinda rewards portfolio.
Earlier this week we showcased those two cameras, along with a number of other new picks, that have recently been added to our rewards portfolio. Read the article here to see these new additions we’re excited to offer.
