A Chicago Kind of St. Patrick's Day
Update (3/11/20): We're disappointed to learn that the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago has been postponed this year due to the Coronavirus disease. With such a large turnout each year, it would be dangerous for the parade to create an environment where the disease could easily spread. While the parade might not be held as originally planned, the following is a brief look into how Chicago typically likes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Chicago isn’t just the home of deep-dish pizza and the Willis Tower, it’s also home to Hinda Incentives. Here, we like to put our all into each and every holiday – and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. Chicago’s restaurants, pubs, and traditions make the city number one when it comes to celebrating this holiday, according to a survey by Wallet Hub.
Each year, the famous Chicago River is dyed a bright shade of shamrock green on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. Hundreds of thousands of people line up along the river to view this magnificent moment.
Following the river dyeing, Chicago holds its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Grant Park. As one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the U.S., Chicago residents and visitors come together to celebrate Irish culture and Ireland’s patron saint. The parade is complete with marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers and colorful floats spread out across three hours.
Like Chicago, Hinda Incentives goes all in on everything we do. We take pride in being able to work in a city so dedicated to celebrating all cultures. Hinda strives to incorporate that same dedication to building and strengthening long-lasting relationships with our partners.
Whether you’re celebrating with us in the Windy City or elsewhere, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
